Monday's Assignment

How about last Friday's field trip, eh?
Before going on our field trip tomorrow, let's think about business law.
How important is it to obey the law in Canada?
What can you do if you get in trouble with the law?
How could you get in trouble with the law?
Here are your tasks:
  1. Role play: Being Sued
    1. Note pronunciation and meaning of key words in bold.
being sued :take to court ,bring an action
been served : continue perform duties or service .
in house counsel :the case in the hands of defense lawyers .
to repressent you : be entited you or appointed to act or speak for someone .
attorneys : a person appointed to act for another in business or legal matters .
rundown : analysis or summary of something by a know ledgeab person <he give his team mates a rundown on the oppsition >
regliegece : failure to take proper care in doing something .
class action : a lawsuit fild or defended by an in dividual or small group acting on behalf ofa large group .
alleging : claim or assert that someone has done something illegal or wrong .typically without proof that this is the case.
lawsuit :a claim or dispute brought to a court of law for adjudication <his lawyer fild a lawsuit against company>
merit : the quality of being particularly good or worthy .
frivolouse : not having any serious purpose or value .
loophole : an ambiguity or inadequacy in the law or set of rules .
settlement : an official agreement intended to reslve a dispute or conflict .
get a heade off ourselves : anticipate events .
    1. Practice by yourself and then with a partner.
  1. Write an email inviting a lawyer friend to play a round of golf.
  2.  I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to play golf ,tomorrow at 11.00 am . I have got some really fun activity planned .
